Nannamukku Grama Panchayat is located in Perumpadappu Block, Ponnani Taluk, Malappuram District. Nannamukku Grama Panchayat, which falls under Nannamukku Village limits, has an area of ​​19.36 sq km.   The total population of the 19 wards is 28989 (Male 13040. Female 15949). The literacy rate in the panchayat with a population density of 1497 is 86.53. The boundaries of this panchayat are Alamcode and Edappal panchayats on the north, Alamcode and Kattakampal (Thrissur) panchayats on the east, Perumpadappu and Kattakampal (Thrissur) panchayats on the south, and Perumpadappu, Veliyamcode and Edappal panchayats on the west. The Nannamukku Panchayat Board came into existence in 1955-56. The first president was P.V. Manu alias Kotha. Nannamukku was an area that was not included in the Malabar District Board. However, many areas that are now within the limits of the panchayat were under the Malabar District Board. The first panchayat also included only the areas that fell within the boundaries of the Nannamukku section. The Pallikkara part, however, was part of the District Board. When the panchayats were unified on the basis of the Kerala state on 1 January 1962, the Nannamukku and Pallikkara parts were merged to form the present Nannamukku panchayat. Located only eight kilometers from the Arabian Sea, Nannamukku grama panchayat is surrounded on three sides by backwaters.
